In a recent operation in southern Gaza, Israeli forces unveiled a headquarters belonging to the Khan Yunes Brigade, housing the office of Mohammed Sinwar, brother of Hamas political leader Yahya Sinwar. The Israeli military disclosed that the Alqadsia outpost served as a training ground for militants responsible for the impactful Oct. 7 attack on Israeli border communities.

The Oct. 7 attack resulted in more than 1,200 casualties, with approximately 240 individuals taken hostage. Over 100 hostages remain captive in Gaza as a consequence of the assault.
